DIPS are:

On:    1,3,4,7,8

Off:    2,5,6,9,10

THE DIPS mean:

1 = DTR always on
2 = verbal result codes
3= display  result codes
4= no echo offline commands
5= auto answer on ring
6 = normal carrier detect
7= result codes orig mode
8= enable at command set
9= disconnect with +++
10= load NVRAM results

Set the R7 to 9600. Plugged a 32345 REV A (normal download cable) into port 2 on the receiver. The download cable has a null modem adapter and gender changer  that is connected to the cable to the modem.
