How to use a Proxicast for internet access

To use a Proxicast modem for internet access:

  1. Set your computer to DHCP and plug into the LAN port. You will be assigned an IP address of 192.168.1.11 or higher.

  2. The "Web Configurator" interface on the modem is accessed through a web browser at "http://192.168.1.1:7780," with the default password of "1234."

  3. You can then go to the "Logs" page and look at the "System Maintenance" log to see if you have gotten an external IP address and, if so, what it is. Each PBO modem is configured with a named URL that will follow the machine as it changes its IP address.
