                     Septentrio's Receiver Firmware License
                     ______________________________________

 By using this Firmware Package and/or any part of its contents, you agree to
 comply with the terms of this license agreement. If you do not agree, please
 return the Companion Disk to Septentrio NV ("Septentrio"), and destroy all your
 copies of the firmware.

 The firmware distibuted by Septentrio contains 2 parts: a part distributed
 under the GNU Public License (in particular, the OS kernel) and a part owned by
 Septentrio (in particular, but not only, the GNSS firmware). This license
 applies to the part of the firmware that is owned by Septentrio. For the part
 of the firmware that is not owned by Septentrio, see the copyright and license
 in the "Copyright.txt" and "gpl.txt" documents, with which Septentrio complies.

 Septentrio grants you a non-exclusive license to use the receiver firmware only
 for possible upgrades or re-installations of the firmware on the Septentrio
 GNSS receiver, and only for the options explicitly allowed by Septentrio for
 that particular receiver.

 Without prior written consent of Septentrio, it is prohibited to:
 (1) Distribute, rent, lease, or sub-license all or any portion of the part of
     the firmware that is owned by Septentrio;
 (2) Modify or prepare derivative products of the part of the firmware owned by
     Septentrio;
 (3) Use the part of the firmware that is owned by Septentrio as a basis of
     computer-based services or businesses;
 (4) Publicly display visual output of the firmware;
 (5) Use options that are not allowed on a particular receiver.

 You agree to keep confidential and to protect the contents of the part of the
 firmware that is owned by Septentrio and to make your best efforts to prevent
 its unauthorized disclosure or use.

 Term and Termination
 --------------------
 This Agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time
 by destroying all copies of the part of the firmware owned by Septentrio and
 its documentation. If you do so, you should inform Septentrio in writing
 immediately. Septentrio reserves the right to terminate this Agreement for
 reasons of misuse or abuse of this firmware or failure to comply with any of
 the above terms or conditions. Upon such termination you will also destroy all
 copies of the firmware and its documentation.

 Limitation of Liability
 -----------------------
 Septentrio does not authorize the use of its products as critical components in
 devices or systems supporting life or whose failure may cause death or
 permanent injury, without express written approval.

 In no event shall Septentrio be liable for any loss, expense, or injury, or
 special, indirect, or consequential damage arising directly or indirectly from
 the purchase, installation or use of Septentrio products, or from any other
 source. In no event shall Septentrio's liability exceed the net purchase price
 or license fee paid by the customer for the affected product, hardware or
 software causing the damage, loss or liability. If the pertinent jurisdiction
 does not allow such limitations as written, then the maximum permissible
 limitations shall apply.

 Limited Warranty Policy
 -----------------------
 Septentrio warrants that its GNSS products are free from defects in materials
 and workmanship, subject to the conditions set forth below, for the following
 periods of time after the date of sale:

     Septentrio GNSS receiver	 One (1) Year
     Cables and Accessories      Ninety (90) Days
     Companion Disk              Ninety (90) Days
     Firmware Upgrades           One (1) Year
     Software Support            One (1) Year

 Date of sale is the date on the invoice sent by Septentrio to the original
 buyer and enclosed with the originally-shipped GNSS receiver.

 Septentrio does not warrant the firmware itself or that it will be error-free.
 The firmware is furnished "as is" and without warranty as to the performance or
 results that may be obtained by using it. The user assumes all the risks as to
 the results and performance of the firmware.

 Firmware upgrades supplied free of charge under this Limited Warranty Policy
 are revisions of the same version of the firmware that was originally shipped
 and may improve basic functionality of the receiver or fix some known problems.
 It is at Septentrio's sole discretion to decide whether a particular
 modification or fix will be issued as an upgrade of the same version, or be
 part of the next version. Any other firmware upgrades or any upgrades of the
 expiry of the warranty term are supplied for a nominal fee.

 There are no user-serviceable parts in the Septentrio GNSS receiver, and no
 maintenance is required. If you detect that a unit is faulty, please first
 contact Septentrio's user support. If the problem cannot be resolved with the
 help of Septentrio's support service, please return the faulty unit to
 Septentrio in the original packaging after obtaining a Return Material
 Authorisation (RMA) from Septentrio. Septentrio will either replace the product
 or repair it. The choice between replacement and repair is solely Septentrio's.
 Out-of-warranty repair will be provided for a nominal fee.

 The warranty does not cover:
  1. Defects due to an accident, abuse, misuse, negligent use, use in other than
     the normal and recommended manner or in environmental conditions that do
     not conform to the specifications of the GNSS receiver, or failure to
     follow the prescribed installation and operating procedures.
  2. Defects due to modifications, alterations, or changes neither made in
     accordance with Septentrio's user manuals and other technical documentation
     nor directly authorized by Septentrio.
  3. Normal wear and tear.
  4. Shipping damage.
  5. 3rd-party software included in the product, except to the extent that the
     warranty of the original manufacturer permits.

 Warranty is void if service or repair of the GNSS receiver has been performed
 outside Septentrio without the prior written consent of Septentrio.
