TRIMBLE 4700/4800 GPS RECEIVERS TOOL TO FIX STATIC DAT FILES CAUSED BY INCORRECT GPS WEEK INFORMATION

Summary
Starting February 14, 2016, Trimble 4700 and 4800 GPS receivers, that are obsolete and out of support, interpret the
GPS time in error by 1024 weeks, resulting in erratic and unreliable behavior for time and date reporting. Since
receiver data outputs will have the wrong time reference, this will negatively impact subsequent systems that are
communicating with that receiver, including the rejection of data packages. Static GPS observations (DAT files) can’t
be imported into Trimble Business Center because of the wrong GPS week information.
